Texting Les Amis: Can we all just stop and appreciate how genuinely nice Aaron Tveit is?:

A few nights ago I was in NYC for an audition, now being your typical headstrong 16 year old upon realizing I would be late due to the traffic I wound up getting out of the car and making a mad dash to the office the audition was being held at and luckily made it in time. This however meant that I was separated from my mother and upon exiting the audition she called me and told me to meet her at this random address. Now let me tell you something, I have the crappiest sense of direction and due to my mother’s inability to use technology I had no idea where I was going. It was now around eight o’clock at this point and starting to get dark. Now I reacted, as I assume most anxiety ridden teens would, and started to have a full blown panic attack in the streets of NYC. Upon starting to hyperventilate and lose all hope someone reached out and tapped my shoulder as an all too familiar voice asked “Are you okay kid?”. Now I’m not overly proud of what I did next, in my anxiety ridden state I merely turned around and grunted at the one and only Aaron Tveit as upon being in the midst of a panic attack I couldn’t really place who he was (yes embarrassing, I know). He gave a rather awkward smile and upon seeing that I recognized him he gave a small shrug and said I might’ve seen him as he had a “small role” in a “semi-recent movie that did pretty good”…I then proceeded to blubber about how I love Next to Normal and Catch Me If You Can to which he humbly thanked me before once again asking if I was okay. I then, embarrassingly enough, started crying over how I was lost and couldn’t find my mother. Aaron Tveit proceeded to apologize that he couldn’t take me to the location my mother had told me as he was in a rush but proceeded to give me very clear directions to the area before bidding me good luck on finding my mother and saying goodbye. He had no obligations what so ever to help me and yet he did. I think we should all just stop and appreciate that, because I can guarantee I sure as hell think he’s one great guy for the complete and utter kindness he showed.

today at work, my supervisor pulled me aside to talk, and i was really nervous like i had no idea what was going on. and then he’s like “i wanted to let you know that i’ve recommended that you be trained on the front desk at both buildings, since hannah [our assisant executive director] will be going on maternity leave soon, and we’ll need help covering shifts, and i want to get you as many hours as we can so that you can go full-time, and i want to get you cross-trained,” etc, and he went on to say that no one’s complained about me at all, i’ve got a great personality and smile and that i interact with the residents well and they all love me and stuff, and i just

i hope that this works out and the powers that be listen to brian’s recommendation and decide to train me so that i can do this, because front desk-stuff is the kind of work i really wanted before i got the job that i have now (which is a housekeeper if you didn’t know) and stuff
